Finally got around to starting my contribution to this area.

Here are my last two coin purchases. Both came from Stack's auctions.

1810 half attributed as Overton 108. I really like the bisectling die crack on the reverse.

Next is one I received in today's mail...1853 A and R quarter. Note the die clash in the larger pics (sellers); it appears the sun is shining down on the date (the actual reason I bought the coin). The second set of pics (mine) show the actual colors better.

Very nice!

Terrific specimens - don't know which I like better. If it were any other Seated, the choice would be easy. The rays coming out on top of the date are wild.

Nice coins and I like your reasons for selecting them.

There are a couple in the Downey sale that almost drew a bid from me. Alas, I have sucessfully withheld my funds for the half dollars tiny baby sister wink.gif But damn, some good stuff in this sale. Good luck with your bids!

A couple of new additions to the family. Once again, a bust half and a seated quarter....hmmmmm wink.gif

Nice additions to your collection. They're beautiful coins.

Totally agree. At least we get to see some really nice coins after your long hiatus.

Whoa, that 1814 has a pretty nice clash.

Actually, twice (with a die rotation in between). Check out LIBERTY clashed both within the shield and on the outside edge.

I love that 1809!!!

My first 2 coins this year.

Flip-over double edge lettering plus a couple of previous owners (Russ Logan and Stu Witham) made this one a must-have.

Also picked up this unattributed 1811/10.

Very pretty... bthumbsup.gif
