Ok. I don't know if this was hammered, which it probably was, or some kind of odd error. The problem is, it looks like it was struck in a quarter minting press, I say that because of the reeded edge look on certain parts. Other that that, the image doesn't look (at least to me) like it was fully struck, even in the areas where the "hammer" marks are not. Let me know what you guys think. biggrin.gif

I'd say it was placed in a Vise and Hammered a few times. . . .

It is post mint damage. A hammer is as good a guess as any.
