Can anyone help me with this token? It is very light and appears to be made from aluminium.

I can't add much. It appears to be a generic token produced for the bicentennial (okay, that part is obvious ). I've seen a few of these on ebay for a dollar or two. They rarely garner much bidding interest although the liberty bell appears to be well sculpted). I'll check a few references tonight, but I doubt I can come up with a manufacturer unless someone recognizes it and happens to know the private mint.

Thanks Bill below the Liberty bell it has FLB faintly stamped if that means anything.

No luck getting closer to your medal. Check out patrickmint.com. They used the eagle on the shield for their bicenntenial tokens, but I do not know if they struck larger pieces. I'm assuming FLB designed at least the liberty bell side of the token, but I haven't pinned down FLB. Patrick Mint is as close as I can get right now, but I'm guessing that more than one mint may have used the eagle and shield design.
