anyone know what the heck this is?? It's a shame about the damage.
Don't know anything about it, but its an interesting piece.
Definately a German piece but other than that, I don't know what it could be

that cross is the iron cross...A medal for bravery in germant and the german states. the cross has been isued since 1813.
Sorry, couldn't find M&W in Forrer. No ideas beyond what's been mentioned. Nice piece though...
