How this survived for over 150 years amazes me.
LinkAs well as, it seems that 1850 proof rubel seems to be awfully common compared to other years during this era - any reason why?

I'm not sure what you find attractive about that first coin. All that extremely fine detail would strain my eyes and cause a headache. That light blue toning around the edge is a sure sign the metal is being attacked and well on its way to self destructing. And, its a 100 years older than me!
