Look in the Red boxes And You Will See what looks like Extra metal On the Rim of the Coin
Any ideas on what happened?
And Is this An Error or Not?

Hi, There are three dies the obverse, the reverse and the collar. Most people forget about the collar die. It comes in from the side and holds the coin in place when it is being struck. On coins with reeding or lettered edges, it actually imparts a design to the coin.
When the collar doesnt fully surround the coin during a strike, metal from the planchet squeezes up around the edge of the coin in this way.
The collar die was a little out of adjustment.
I hope this helps.
