Just in case you don't go into the other section of the coin forums, you should! Seems like the counts are pretty low in all votes as I am seeing about 25 votes in each section. I mean, I am sure there are more than 25 regulars in this forum!!!

PCI6

Good luck to everyone who is participating in PCI!!!

What he said!

Also i should take this opportunity to apologise about the sheer quantity posted this weekend (which might explain some of the low voting), i might not be around much next weekend. I should have enough time to close the ones that are running currently, however starting up new ones takes a fair while and i wanted to get the big categories out whilst i had the chance. Eighteenth Century and backwards are much smaller and i hopefully will be able to get and hour here and there to get them up and running.

Yes that happens sometimes, basically it's because the person uploads a picture of their coin on omnicoin, gives me the link to it, and then a few weeks later they delete the coin from omnicoin and i'm left with a dead link.

Back to PCI and PCI2 we used to (or rather Stujoe used to) transfer them onto the CP database so that they wouldn't 'disappear' (back then there was no Omnicoin but only those sites that only keep photos hosted for say six weeks), however, what with omnicoin we figured the problem of coins being lost half way through due to limited hosting constraints wasn't really an issue and coins could be left on omnicoin until the competition ended and deleted afterwards (if desired).

The PCI rule is (or it is when i'm running it) is that coin photos that disappear cannot be replaced by others. The reason for this is because if someone comments "i would have voted for that but for the poor photo", the person who owns the coin might get the idea to submit a better photo. Which would be cheating as far as i'm concerned. Plus i couldn't cope with people requesting photo changes here there and everywhere at random, potential for confusion.
