Full Version: German 1 Pfennig question

Does anyone know if there has ever been a no mintmark Federal Republic 1 pfennig confirmed? I have a 1984 1 Pfennig with no mint mark and no evidence under scope that it had been "rubbed" or "polished" away. Any references would be appreciated. Thanks!

There's a couple on German Ebay but nothing in Krause. Since the proces don't seem to be high eitehr Germans don't collect errors or maybe this is just caused by a filled die?

At least I know there are a few others out there. Filled die sounds interesting. Think I'll see if I cn find any evidence on the coin that it may be.

Collecting "error pieces" is not as popular in Germany as it seems to be in the US, I think. But there sure are people who are after those ... or else Peter Neugebauer would not have published his book. biggrin.gif
