Blackhawk
This holey coin is very thin and 17mm or so in diameter. It appears to be toned/dirty brass. One side appears to match Turkey KM#645 (Cedid Mamudiye), but it does not have a toughra on the other side, but rather both sides appear to have the same design-athough there are differences that make it evident that the same die or copy of the die were not used on both sides. It appears to be struck and not cast. Any ideas?

I think it's a piece taken from one of those "coin" belts worn in belly dancing. I've had a very simular piece before, except that it did had the toughra on one side. (I remembered it was a Cedid Mamudiye type.)

called a bangle- made of brass- the big clue is the year of reign 87- the upside down and regular v's over the curved line near the top. Used for dancing costumes, as brass has a good sound, also headdresses and other sew-on jobs.
