Ouch sad.gif

I hold a few kilos of silver for investment (old style Englehard bars) but would never consider melting down my threppennies and sixpences for cash. The patterns on those coins are just too delicate and pretty to destroy.

I wonder how much numismatic history will be lost if we get another silver boom like before - I wasn't around for the last one wink.gif

On the flip side, it may be a good thing for collectors as ebay is currently awash with sixpences, threppennies, florins, and crowns and I don't mind paying the current prices to get a few nice examples for my collection.

I'm still a little bitter about getting sniped on half a kilo of really nice coins, probably by a speculator not a collector shout.gif
