This is a 1979-d and a 1978-d and they are filled in, is that a error???

Hey john... Sometimes the little center of the letter gets filled with for lack of a better word "goop" This causes the letter to look filled. As for rarity these are prob. the most common errors that we see. They usually sell for between $.50 and $3 on e bay depending on how bad they are.
