My major purchase at the recent Santa Clara Coin Show took me into a neighboring region of Celtic Gaul. I fell in love with the Picasso-esque wolf on the reverse.

The Celt-Iberian script above the wolf reads: I L TI or DI R TA or DA

which reads Iltirta or Ilerda (a tribal or community name from northeast Spain). The coins were struck ca. 80 - 72 B.C.
