I'm familiar with the "big three" of TPGs: PCGS, NGC, and ANACS; anyone know this NNC company and how well respected they are in regards to third party coin grading? thanks for any input!

I think they are considered a tier 4 grading company. I was trying to find a real good article on the different grading companies, but could not find the article. Here is a decent listing and some information.
