Hi everyone
I am new at this but I just wanted to know if a note bill that my grandfather gave
me is worth anything.
It is a Tausend Kronen, 2 Jan 1902 the bill itself is in good conditions.
Thanks for any information. shout.gif

It is from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and lost 99.9% of it's value during the inflation of the post WWI era. Now it's only value is a nominal numismatic curiousity, and the knowledge that it was a great gift from your grandfather.

Hi Wash1!

I have an older catalogue from 2002 and it states that there are two varieties, one with Gray-green underprint and one with Rose underprint, series #1440 and on. The gray - green listed as 1.00 in good condition 4.00 in fine condition and 12.00 in UNC. The Rose underprint was 0.50 in good, 2.00 in fine and 6.00 in UNC. The prices may have gone up some, but that should put you into the ballpark.

That said. here's a link to an Ebay listing for 7.99

Personally, I agree with the previous post and would keep it for sentimental value.
