Just posted image in my album, can anyone tell me if this is the clear "s" type? I checked the book, but I'm not an expert on U.S. material. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No, in my personal album, sorry. I've been on this site forever and still have problems loading pics.

It's uploaded in the omnicoin now as well.

Little bit fuzzy pic, but it looks clear.

Thanks Mark;
I just uploaded a 2nd scan, that's about the best I can do with this. It is next to the first pic. in the omnicoin forum, if you wouldn't mind having a look. Thanks

The better of the 2 if it is a clear s

The filled are pretty obvious. The s almost looks like a blob. Now the question is rounded or flat?

It's hard to tell without a better closeup. Just because it looks "clear" doesn't make it so, it has to do with the edges of the S.

I can't distinguish them using the 2006 redbook; I may have to bring it to the U.S. when I go April 11. The problem is that the whole area around the s appears to be clouded, almost cameo like. I only have a 10x loupe here, which doesn't do it justice. Guess I can kick myself for selling my digital camera last night

Franz. Have you checked this link:
http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/1979SAnd1981STypes.htmIt describes them pretty good and clicking on the small mint marks will bring up a good larger picture.

As Tiff said, yours looks like a Clear but it is tough to tell not in hand.

On my 1981 it almost looks like an 8 with the "attachments.
