I really like that note. That will have to be added to my futures purchase list.

I always relate this note to you, and often think of it as the "Anya note" for some strange reason. And every time I look at it, I always look up at the airplane note on my wall ($1 Banc Eirannais Ltd)

I used to have these pair of notes which I purchased in 1987 during the first Singapore International Coin Coinvention. I sold them away in 2005 in ebay as it does fit into my collection.

I like that 5 pounder. Lovely image of both the woman and the scenery.

This note was issued by National Bank Limited, the design dates from 1937 and is a refreshing and lovely design. Unfortunately, the turmoil in Northern Ireland created opportunity for this note to be commonly defaced because of the of the watermark of Daniel O'Connell, an Irish patriot. I really like the vignette of the young Colleen, with her harp and Irish wolfhound and a ship in the background.
