Thanks to Jorg's earlier post about his recent West African States essai acquisition, I learned of this essai coin in aluminum. It fits my aluminum collection and my interest in ethnic arts (the Ashantee gold weight on the obverse).

They're really nice coins. I have a few that are an aluminum bronze alloy. It's a very nice color and weight.
