Excellent coins. What is the diameter, if I may ask?

They are approximately 4-4.5cm (1.6inch?) depending if they are overstriked or not. On the other hand, thickness does vary, depending on how many strikes or crudeness of striking were performed on it. Average weight is around 50grams or 1.6 ounce, so it IS pretty nasty if you have 1 ruble worth of them swoon.gif

The largest of the ones I have is the 1792 from Anninsk Mint at 45mm and weight of 52.2 gms.

The heaviest is the 1792 from Ekaterinburg weighing in at 56.7 gms. It's a big 5mm thick slug of copper with a 42.5mm diameter.

Sounds like something I have to add to my "want" list for 2006.
