RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. It's a quick and easy way to create and use "syndicated content" such as news headlines and announcements. Some websites (like this one) use RSS to deliver articles and article previews to readers who are simply too busy to visit the site and dig up the content they are interested in. Other sites use RSS to alert customers of new products or upcoming events.

RSS feeds can be used in an RSS reader or included in some new aggregator services, such as My Yahoo or Google Desktop.

Cool. I may be able to use a few of those in various places to maybe drive some traffic here. wink.gif

BTW: There is a tool to allow you to show rss feeds on a website

http://jade.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/feed/index.php?s=build

It comes in a hosted and non-hosted flavor. I have not tested it with these feeds yet but I have used it in the past.

Looks like it works with the CP feeds...

Obviously that is quick and dirty and can be formatted into an existing webpage to actually use it. bthumbsup.gif

Very cool. It converts RSS to include on your website as JavaScript.
