I've ben several times there now and have noticed that the RD$ 10 and RD$ 20 notes are quire often used, among the less fortunate people of the country (unfortunately the major part of the (population). Having 10 - 20 RD$ 10 notes in your wallet is not quite rare, replace those by 10 - 20 and you have a storage problem.
