I have bought this coin in the old CP, if I remember correctly.

I wanted to know as much as possible about the coin and an aproximate value. Does anyone have that information?

It didn't allow me to put both pics in the same post, so here goes the reverse.

Cannot tell you anything about the value (probably not much), but it says

* Kriegsgeld (War Money) 1918
* Coblenz (now Koblenz in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate)
* and "Gültig bis 1 Jahr nach Friedensschluss" which means it was valid until 1 year after the conclusion of a peace treaty.

Hope this helps at least a little. smile.gif

Thank you Christian.

It does help, but I still cannot find it in the Krause World Coins 1901-Present from 2005.

The reason I wanted to know is to put it for auction, but I wanted to ask the right price, not over price it.

Oh well, if it is "probably not much" I cannot expect much then, but because of reorganisation I must put it on the sale list, even if I don't want too.

My guess is because it is not what we would consider a conventional coin issued by the government of Wilhelm II -and thus not applicable to the standard Krause catologue.

I see, so it is a token then.

Thank you Sir Sisu.
