1814 400 Reis from Portugal. Has some rim color, though the blue is not quite as bold as the pic suggests

It's actually a 480 Réis coin (24 vintens /Cruzado), nice coin! One of my favorite types along with Bronze 40 reis coins (Patacos) and copper X reis.

1853 Half Arrows & Rays
Liberty is full, the E just doesn't have any crud in it to make it stand out. The coin is not quite as dark as the pic.

Nice pick-ups!
Tiffibunny
Man! I want that bridge coin!
Art
Great additions to your collection. bthumbsup.gif

I really like your '53 half - nice and problem-free with enough detail to appreciate the beauty of the design...

I am a big fan of the A&R design - here is my half.

I would have to check but I think I paid a bit more than you, but mine is *not* slabbed and I thing you got yours at a very reasonable price. Seems like there is no secret about the A&R coins and their price reflects it.

It's slabbed no more!! Cracked out and in the Dansco this morning.

Your A&R is nice! One of my favorite designs, it has really grown on me since this type set thing started. I was really hoping to get a 53-O, just very tough to find with the look of your or mine A&R.

The guy I bought it from had 6 A&R 53-O's all slabbed by ANACS ranging in grades from VF to AU, but they were all cleaned.

Nice pick ups. I too love the Arrows and Rays half dollars. I think they are cool designs.

A 2 euro from somewhere that Art passed along. Thanks Art!

A Fine 52-D washington quarter I got from a co-workers coin tray today. Cost .25.

Went to the monthly Melbourne, FL coin show. Got there late, show starts at 10 am, I arrived after 1, closes about 3. My favorite dealer was back this month with some great fresh item, but by going so late I didn't bring enough cash or a checkbook so I had to select carefully. I only had enough for these 2. a 1836 Bust quarter which I love the look of, and a 1867 Shield Nickel with Rays. The nickel has a little discoloration/tone on the reverse bottom, but I picked it up for a song so I can deal with it.

Excellent bust quarter!
Art
Nice purchases. The quarter is especially nice. I could use them both for my type set. bthumbsup.gif
Dan769
Thanks all, I am really addicted to the quarter, I cant stop looking at it. I love the contrasting dark to light colors of the devices and fields. Two nice additions finding a home in my Dansco Type set. I think another arrived today from Blackhawk!!
Dan769
Yep, my Seated Dime has come from Blackhawk bthumbsup.gif an 1857-O slightly better date in roughly AU, looking for mostly XF coins, but this was too nice to pass up.

Better fix that. You will be going into rehab soon otherwise.
