This year Luxembourg continues its silver coin series dedicated to European institutions and the "Cultural History" series of gold coins. What may be more interesting, though, is a new series featuring national institutions, shown on bimetallic silver-titanium coins.

Banque et Caisse d'Épargne de l’État (silver ring/titanium pill, face value 10 euro)
Price €50 (catalog page 28) - to be issued later this month
Conseil d'État (silver ring/titanium pill, face value 20 euro)
Price €60 (catalog page 30) - to be issued in November

Pictures and more information can be found in the trilingual catalog (fr, en, de) here:

More news:

Luxembourg is apparently about to open a numismatic office. Currently its coins and numismatic products can be purchased in Luxembourg (City) only: If you want to buy a product issued by the central bank (BCL) directly from the source, you have to go to the BCL premises on Boulevard Royal.

Of course you can always buy Luxembourg coins from third parties (coin dealers, swappers, etc.) but the BCL does not handle mail orders. That will change according to a recent press release http://www.bcl.lu/fr/media/communiques/200...ique/index.html:

"La BCL est actuellement en phase de préparation d'un système de vente à distance et d'une possibilité de souscrire aux produits numismatiques par voie d’abonnements. Ces services pour les collectionneurs seront introduits au courant de l'année 2006." Which means they will open some kind of web store, and also offer subscriptions, later this year ...
