When trying to ender a plane on an international airport, one has to pass several metal detector gates.

I'd expect that they have those at Mints as well......

I saw a special on the Discovery Channel once on gold mining, and most gold mines have very strict procedures to prevent theft, and some even make the person change clothes and leave their work clothes behind for fear of stealing even gold dust in the fabric. I guess that just shows the difference between producing real money and base metal tokens.
