Now this coin is to be blamed for my trouble:

At that time, I remember that I paid just around 100USD, which is definately a joke nowadays.
And I thought, why not attempt a 1834 set? But that was a time when I did not have a catalogue book (and of why I managed to get my hands on a commemorative ruble first, I have no idea)
And here it follows:

Of course, it was amateur of me to think that completing a type set would be very easily done. I was proven very wrong. And I am still missing of a typical ruble, poltina, 25, 20, 5 silver kopeks; 10 copper kopeks of the SM, 5 SM, 2SM, 1EM and SM. Those should not be too much trouble, except for the SM copper coins, which can be a trouble to locate in ok grades. To add to the pain, there is 5 rubles in gold and 3, 6, and 12 rubles in platinum to complete!
A silly mistake that I made was that I remember seeing both a 5 gold ruble and 3 ruble platinum at VF priced at around 300USD each. I should have bought them then, but again, who would know the value of such coins would explode?
And... this does not include the Russo-Polish issues....
Oh well...
