Bought myself a new loupe today.
A H.E. Harris and Co. wide field 10x. I tried the 16x but found it difficult to easily focus under normal lighting.
Been using it for about a hour today and really love it. It's so much better than my old $3 loupe that was plastic and kind of cheap. The new loupe is heavy metal (steel?) that is easy to handle and focus. I like how it stays extended unlike my old one that didn't like to stay in place.
Well worth the $12! They had a Bausch & Lomb but it was $60, very nice piece though.

From the photo that merc has a great strike, and as far as I can tell is a low MS grade.....62/3 ish. Unless I'm not seeing something you have that lady undergraded.

Wouldn't surprise me if I undergraded. I'm either spot on or low on my grading of Mercs.
Comparing it to my PCGS MS64 this coin is much nicer, especially in the luster and strike. But there is some "flatness" on the left, lower part of the hair. Could be a strike issue though.

Picked up some nice ones today.
Chile 1951 20 Centavo - Nice blue tones
Jordan 1964 10 Fils - Nice chunk o' copper. Red tones.
US 1965 1 Cent - Just a darn nice strike.
US 1951-S 1 Cent - Obverse is iffy, reverse is really nice. Bold dark red color.
Philippines 1944-S 1 Centavo - Cool colors. I like this type.

Finland 1917 50 Pennia - Still holds some of its luster. Just a nice looking piece of silver.

Switzerland 1936-B 2 Rappen - So well struck I thought it was a proof at first!

Burks, are you sure these are minted in silver? These were minted in ni-cupro and were widely circulated here.
(or they might be if they are indeed the silver edition)

Flea Market Finds:
Jeffersons:
1943-P = XF, nice rainbow toning around the rim
1947-P = Low UNC, light gold toning
1947-S = AU, light rose toning around the rim
1962-P = AU
1970-D = Low UNC, blast white
1971-D = UNC, still in mint cello.
$4 for all of them wasn't bad.

NNC MS-67RD 1913 Swiss 1 Rappen - The previous owner and myself both agree the coin is around the MS63 area. At PCGS/NGC I doubt it would get the RD designation due to coloration. May even get the bodybag because of some "green" on the reverse.
Nice coin nonetheless. It was free though.

Sure thing! When and where?
Well I didn't exactly "buy" these quarters but they were part of my payment for working this weekend.
1964-D Washington
1956-P Washington
Someone paid with silver quarters so my boss, knowing I like coins, gave me two on top of my pay. I was pleased!

Received my prizes from Blackhawk today.
And what was one of the extras?

An awesome 1923A German 500M!!! Check out the die breaks on that bad boy! This is, by far, the best looking 500M I've ever seen. Ignore the yellow.....all my Reveal bulbs are burnt out. It's blast white.
