[attachmentid=1099][attachmentid=1100]Today I went searching for bottles along the outer edge of the old part of Allentown near the 8th St. bridge, just before it began to rain, this coin fell corroded round piece of metal fell out practically into my hand. I new it was something significant, I could barely see writing on it. After I got home, I immediately washed it with water and my fingertips, unfortunately corrode, but you can make out that it is a Large Cent from the reverse. On the obverse, well there is no portrait or date, because there is what appears to be a silver coin of some kind indented into it. I have been collecting coins for a while, but I have never seen a piece quite like this. I was wondering if anyone had any idea, what this could be? Upon further inspection, with a mag glass, the obverse with the silver coin, the surface looks like a old record. There are rings starting from the center of the "silver coin" to the outer edge

I'd guess it's a dime fused to a large cent. Assuming that it's a silver object attached to the large cent, since I can't really make anything out.

That's an interesting piece you have there. Probably someone messing around with a large cent and of no significant value.

Although people have been wrong in the past.

It's possible that the coin was once soldered to something and the silver colored side has a layer of solder still on it.
