Good morning everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew a good resource for translating the characters on Chinese coins. I know I could probably just post pics on here and someone would be able to help me out, but I don't have a digital camera or scanner, so that is not an option. Anyone know of any good books or websites that could help? Thanks bunches!

Another place helpful with older ie several hundred years old is Ken Dorney's site at Ken Dorney's Coolcoins.com

Two very nice sites. Thanks for the helpful info. I usually just wing it and look through Krause or ask one of the guys at the Coin Club who spent a lot of time in China.

Feel free to scan pictures and post it in here. I will try to translate them whenever I have time.

I've found this one to be very useful:

It has a lot, but there was, of course, the odd one out that stumped me a few weeks ago - happened to be ancient Korean instead of Chinese. They used the same Kanji images for a while.
