I've been picking up a few ANACS slabbed world gold coins for my collection, and I recently read that they have a new slab design. Anyone have a scan of this new one, and if it is larger than the 2 3/4" by 2" slabs I have now? thanks!

Also,

are NGC slabs the same size as the 2 3/4" x 2" ones? they look identical, and they even have the white spacer that the coins fit into. thanks!

NGC, PCGS, pretty much everybody has larger slabs than ANACS. What you have now are the "old" style - the new ones are supposed to be larger in size, probably more similar in size to the other companies.

I can't find a pic of 'em, but I know pics are out there.

I think there was a pic in the coin newspapers a while back and it was supposed to be introduced at FUN. But, I think that was put on hold. I know there was a lot of discussion about positive and negative aspects of the slab in teh net but I don't know if that waas what caused any delay.

The Shop at Home Shysters are selling a few of the Eagles in the new slabs. Here it is:

Ah! That's the one that was in the magazines! I guess they rolled it out after all. To me it looks a little cheesy but all I really worry about is how easy it is to crack open. wink.gif

They still aren't showing it on their website, though.
