Have you found your first 2006 coin in circulation? If so what is it?

I received several 2006 D U.S. 1 cent pieces in change at the airport in OKC, a few days ago.

It usually takes a couple of months for new money to circulate up here, which is odd because I'm closer to PHL then OKC is to DEN.

Usually takes until August here.

I got a brand new 1960-D in change the other day

I got a few world coins dated 2005 these few days.

Not a sign here yet.

I received more 2006 D U.S. cents in change in Houston this morning, and back in OKC just 30 minutes ago-they are everywhere

Still hoping for the new nickle.

Well spent the last two weeks in Albuquerque and received several more 2006 D cents and then even more in Amarillo as I was driving east today. The 06Ds are everywhere in the Southwest/central US

Got a 1993 $1 star note for good measure too!

Just received a few boxes of the 2006 Nevada quarter at the bank this week

Well, I finally got a 2006 today. No cent, nickel or dime, but a nice Nevada SQ. The design, while not a terribly original subject, looks pretty nice.

Hey Guys! Just got bitten by the coin collecting bug, and new to the forum. Anyway I'm in South Fla, I've received a few 2006 pennies, and just got my first 2006 nickel as change for a coke, and i got one free for buying a couple of junk dimes at the Ft. Lauderdale show. cheers.

Are you kidding? It took until last week for me to get the 2005 'Ocean In View' nickel in change!

I got a 2006-P "return to monticello" as well as a 2005-D Ocean view nickel in change at a quiznos. Maybe sandwich shops have horded all the new Jeffersons?

Got a Nevada quarter and the new Monitcello nickel today. I kept hoping the nickel would somehow look better in person. It most cerainly does not.

My first 2006 coin was a dime from Rally's about two hours ago.

Scan to come later, something going on with Roosie's eyebrow.

Got a 2006-D Roosevelt out of the pop machine at work last week. Next day, one of the buyers gave me a nickel-plated Lincoln that was a sample from an electroplating company. It's going into my "oddity" collection (which is, oddly, small).

Not a sausage... sometimes the pennies and five pence coins of the new year turn up from February/March onwards but as it stands i've seen nothing yet. Alot of very shiny straight out of the bag 2005 stuff still being released though from the looks of it. The 2006 stuff will arrive when the 2005 stuff has been used up.

I found 4 2006D cents as I went thorugh $7.50 in rolls.

All i've gotten around here is the 06D nickels.

I still have not found one. I wonder if I can go a whole year...

I guess it doesn't help that most of my transactions are now electronic.
