Is there a reasonable way to post a PowerPoint presentation?

bobbycoin
As far as I know browsers will not play them...

But you can post the file and this link with it:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en

Thats Microsofs PPViewer, a standalone program that allows you to watch PowerPoint Presentations.

Hope that helps ya,

One way is to load PP and your presentation, then 'save as' and select 'web page' under the 'save as type' option. You will see a button for Publish. Click that and then click 'web options'. Select some style stuff and then , eventually, click 'publish' to save the files. Now go open it in your browser or stick it on the web etc. It actually produces a pretty reasonable html product with navigation abilities etc.

Some of the above instructions will probably depend on your PP version, but you get the idea.

My version of PowerPoint doesn't support the html/webpage create - it's PP97. The best I can do is a "load & go" to create a portable presentation from it. That works fine, but won't help much here.

Any ideas?

if you email me the presentation I can turn it into an Acrobat document ...

PowerPoint 97's HTML features are not installed by default. If you chose a Typical installation when you installed Office, the Save as HTML command will be missing or grayed out.

To activate it, re-run Setup and choose Custom installation. Make sure you put a checkmark next to Web Authoring Tools before completing the install.

I should have thought of that. I'll go back and re=install. I thought that I had checked all of the boxes to install all PowerPoint features. I'll give it another try.

Thanks,
