The collection contains 36 pieces in total. Each piece displays a certain historical event, person or era considered to have been of significance in the development of Finland. The collection was minted my the Mint of Finland and the first piece was issued in January 2001 and the last in December of 2003. There was a total of 20,000 of the entire series made.
