Pretty cool stuff. I have seen those around before. I think they were Kennedys, though.

Thanks for posting the image....I am the new owner of this piece......haven't received it yet but I always wanted one after seeing that Dime a while back. From what I am told....Morgan's are extremely rare to find and the piece is circa 1900's.

Observation of the solder marks on the rim lead me to believe that this was once a part of a ring.

Just MHO and US$0.02 worth...

That would explain the curvature of the piece as well and most of these are flat with just the design pushed out.

WOW! Those are really sweet! What term would one use when searching for such items? I am very tempted if they are reasonably priced.

I believe they're referred to as "push-outs".
