I don't think they will sell as well as the Marines.

Well, you know me and commems. bgreen.gif
Dockwalliper
I have my doubts that Franklin was ever that thin.

I like both but will only order one. Probably the Founding Father.
UncleBobo
I love the Founding Father but I will also have to order the other one because it has a reference to New Jersey on the reverse!!

And JOIN, or DIE. bthumbsup.gif

Was that the correct link? That looked more like Ozzy and some kind of related memorabilia.
fjrosetti
What an ugly mess; the both of them!

I really like the reverse of the "founding father" and the reference to the continental dollar.

Not as good as the real one though wink.gif

I hadn't noticed the similarity until you mentioned it, there must be a wallbash.gif in the USM shok.gif

Join or Die!

That should be the motto here at CP smile.gif

Very nice tributes to a great man.
Franklin was a genius, and a true American hero.

I will think very hard about getting the Continental Currency one. I will probably regret it if I don't get it.

Every time I see the young Franklin one, I think to myself "I didn't know Ben was a cowboy!" rofl1.gif

rofl1.gif I hear ya!

But, the "JOIN, or DIE" on the reverse is just so cool!!

Went on sale today....anyone trying to get an order in?
Tiffibunny
I'm trying but I can't get in.
UncleBobo
I can wait. It won't sell out today.
Sir Sisu
Yes, I will probably wait as well. I will try and combine it later with at least one other order as that is one of the few convenient things that the US Mint does do- combine shipping on the same order.
joanjet
Have been trying since they went on sale today - can't through by phone or internet.
jtryka
I'm in no rush as long as I get it in before the pre-issue discount ends!
Tiffibunny
Order placed. Now to wait until April.

Did anyone order the chronic set? I only ordered one of each in UNC but now I wonder whether I shoud have ordered a chronic set? confused1.gif

So I lied. Decided to pick up both in the proof version. Normally I'd go UNC but it didn't look very good in that style.
joanjet
I ordered the proofs and one of the Chronicles too. Took me awhile to get my order through on the internet! And like TB said, now we wait until April. You would think they could get them to us faster.

I did, just because I thought the stuff with it was cool.

I got both Uncs, both proofs and the set.

Does the mint send you a thank you note and Christmas card? That's a darn good non-dealer customer!

Does anyone know what the mintage limits are for the UNC and PF?
Tiffibunny
Mintage (max.): 250,000 (across all "Scientist" options)

Mintage (max.): 250,000 (across all "Founding Father" options)

Thank you, wonder how many UNC and PF they'll mint. Usually they mint more PF than UNC.
UncleBobo
I broke down today and ordered the unc scientist and the proof founding father.
captaincoffee
Franklin is one of my favorite historical figures, but the mint has finally priced me out of the commoratives catagory. $70 for the 2 plus shipping!?!? I can fill some holes for real coins in my collection for $70+.
