This is a listing of the dimes I am thinking about taking to the coin shop on the 22nd of this month. Dealer has offered me $10 for them sight unseen. All of these grade an F or below in my opinion. (for whatever that might be worth)
Mercury Dimes
1916, graded G by someone at some time
1917, it has same amount of wear as above
1935S
1936S
1942
1943
1944
1944
1945S
Roosevelt Dimes
1952D, crusty on reverse
1952S
1963D
1966
1967
1978S
Seated Liberty
18??, Looks like a dirty penny, but its a dime. In terrible shape.
Are there any in this list that set off an alarm bell and that I should reconsider? I a little uneasy about this.
Thanks,
Linda

There's nothing really "rare" there but the 1916 books for $3 in good condition ('06 Redbook price). That's the highest coin.

If you ask me, $10 is a fair price.

Generous dealer. $10 is more than I could go on them.

By my rough calculations, the value of the silver in those coins is aproximately $7.00... I'd say $10 represents a decent premium on their bullion value.

To each his own, but these are worth bullion value to me and a few have no bullion value at all. I currently pay 3.6 times face for 90% silver and sell it for 4 times face.
Even when silver gets to $8 the melt price of silver US coins is below that of scrap sterling because they aren't really going to be melted.
