Mailwomen was very generous today, received the last of my US Mint order, 2 of the Mint sets which look fantastic.

And from Blackhawk an AU 1919-S Philippine 10 cent piece, a well worn 1918-s 5 center from the Philippine and a very nice XF 1966 1 Escudo from Portugal.


It's great to come home from work and see my family, and when I have coins too it's like free dessert at Outback

Got a great looking 1901 Morgan from Blackhawk. That makes 3/4 of the 1891-1921 Morgans complete. I now have 3 holes per page left to fill. The 1878-1890 book has 2 holes per page, 7/8 complete. I'm down to the hard to find coins, -S and -CC. Guess I'll just have to continue going to those coin shows until I complete the set.

Oh yea,
got one of those mint letter like Capt-AWACS got too.

boring stuff ... three "Westward Journey Nickel Series 2005 Coin and Medal Sets," of which I'll keep only one ... and a replacement Marshall Silver Dollar (UNC) .. the original coin the mint sent had a big spot on the shirt collar!

A whole load of nice Washington Quarters, a Palladium coin (yay!!) and some erm... *cough* nickels

Today my three Romanian 2,000 Lei polymer notes came in. They are the ones that were packaged in special folders for the last solar eclispe of the millenium. These are some really beautiful notes and the lady I bought them off of offered to get me the new ones as they come out. Only cost me $9.50 for the three.

Yesterday, I got a package of some Finn coins from a trade and today a Finn commem that I won on auction.

My 5 Westward Journey Sets. Hmmmm. I must say, the Sac dollars are flawless. I don`t know what they do to the nickels, but 2 of my sets, the PF nickels are S***, scuffed and scratches. The other 3 sets, the nickels are barely PF 67-68, and that is generous. I am happy, I guess, I got them. The Sac Dollars are flawless. I don`t get it.

Got an NGC submission back yesterday. An 1839 no drapery Seated Half came back a VF-35. Was hoping for XF-40 but in fairness to NGC, I think they got the grade just right.

Just received my 1st purchase from ebay, Mexico 5 pesos "Naval Training Ship Cuauhtemoc" Im very happy with it

A Franklin Mint Half Dollar 1967 off Ebay from the now defunct Hacienda Casino in Vegas. I've seen $1, $5 and higher but never a 50¢ piece. Paid less then $6.

5 '05-D new Bison nickels from Fjord the Valiant. The D's won't turn up around here (Virginia) in circulation for quite awhile, I'm sure.

My 37 coin solid bronze Shell-Oil (coins minted by Franklin Mint) set came in today. The coins feature the Presidents from Washington to Nixon. All for the grand total of..........$6
