The mailman FINALLY brought me something worth posting. Today I received the Australian 2002 CommonWealth Games trimetallic (copper, silver and gold) $50 coin. Outstanding and in a league of its own and I managed to locate one right here in the U.S.! Only 5,000 made and I am proud to add it to my world collection!

WOW. shok.gif I saw that coin in a local coin store and I must admit it is an impressive coin, perhaps only to match one Slovakian commemorative coin that I have in mind. Congradulations! biggrin.gif

My very firstest and earliest silver crown, a 1776 Riksdaler from Sweden.
jtryka
Well, this arrived yesterday and technically it's not a coin but a reproduction of a continental dollar. It is oversize and made from 2 ounces of silver. I bought it on a whim, bid melt and ended up winning it for under $10 delivered. There is also a photo next to a silver dollar to see the size difference.

Today found 2 packages in the mail.

The first, from England, contained a few "less common" Croatian notes. P21,P22 and P24.

A number of items in the past week:

Seated half and a Latvian piece (along with some prizze winnings) from Tiff, a banknote, and a bunch of world coins.
Burks
Not a darn thing coin related.

Well...I guess there was something. Parents sent me a pair of gloves to handle some of my more expensive coins. Moving the 1900 Morgan I have to the type album almost gave me a heart attack!

only one thin little envelope in the mail today. but that thin little envelope had 11 zeroes in it. Yes, 11 zeroes, the daddy of the series. I now have the full run 5000 (5 with 3 zeroes), up to 500 billion (5 with 11 zeroes). They look pretty cool all lined up next to each other. Maybe I will find some way to mount them as a full group and hang them on the wall.

1893 Hungarian 20 Korona for me; about the size of a nickel and roughly 1/5 ounce of .900 gold. A beautiful coin to be sure; the picture shows the reverse, which is of two angels holding the crest of Franz Joseph (if I read that correctly)

BTW, how do i post a picture direct and have it show up? thanks!

You can either use Reply and hit the IMG button or do this...

But don't have the space there in the front tag. I had to do that or it wouldn't post.
