Full Version: Hi everyone
Woweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I got the fever. I was identifying some old coins given to me by my deceased step father and caught the fever. I am truely a newbie and will need lots of help. Iam thinking of collecting asmany different types that I can. I am retired and on a fixed income so I am limited to the lower priced coins. I wish my step grandmother had taken care of these coins I have. They would be worth a few thousand bucks if they were in better shape. Ughhh!

Those words will catch the attention of many members here who are much more qualified to tell you how to 'take care' of your coins. Before you do anything--wait and let some of our folks explain proper handling techniques, cleaning techniqes, storage methods, etc. It'll be worth the wait.

No worries. We were (and some still are) there at one point in time. Over the past year I just got back into coins after about 8 years. As you can see I'm a college student so both of us are on a strict income
Now that certainly doesn't limit you to ugly, scratched, cheap, or modern coins by no means at all! Check out the auction area where you can pick up a lot of coins for cheap. Welcome to the forums. Don't be afraid to ask questions. That's what we all are here for.
