this is noted on one of the 2 X 2 cardboard thingys. What does it mean? I tried to look it up, but maybe I am not looking in the right place. Thanks.

Linda

PS... is there a difference between AU50 and CHAU?

BU P.L probably is meant to signify Brilliant Uncirculated Proof-Like - an uncirculated buisness strike with a surface and strike similar to a proof coin (a proof is struck in a "special" fashion).

AU50 is About uncirculated, CHAU, which is not really standard probably is meant to signify CHoice AU - AU58 - a particularly nice AU.

They are good things to see on the 2 X 2 - but of course are a matter of opinion.

I agree....they are in the eye of the beholder.....everyone grades just a little different.....
