Thanks for the help. I don't know too much about this coin and I am very anxious to make an attribution. My hunch is that it is Italian - possibly 1500s or 1600s. During that time it could certainly have Spanish or French representation.
The coat is not the same as the coin you pictured allthough there are some similarities. But, I have seen lots of similarities like that e.g.

darnitall that portrait, especially with that collar, should be identifiable - looks like a little kid.
