Anyone buy the canvas bags the mint is selling? If so are they worth the $8.95?
Stujoe
I am almost embarrassed to admit it but I bought one. laugh.gif It was an impulse buy when I bought the Marine commem and some medals.

They sent me the $2000 Dollar coin bag. Unfortunately, it was empty. wink.gif

Is it worth it? Probably not to most people but it is kind of cool, decent size, and brand spanking new. I have no idea what I will do with it. I already use some of the mini State Quarter bags for change holders. The dollar bag is way too big for that!

well in my business they come in handy....I am always putting together 5000 bags of wheat cents and stuff....and since they aren't making anymore....I hang on to them when I get them

I bought a bunch of 1973 and 1974 Denver mint bags in a store in Missouri last year, they were only $3 each and were actually used for carrying 5000 cents. They are neater IMHO than whatever the mint is selling.

I'd like to get my hands on a bag used for cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters. Those would make interesting change holders rather than the old protein tub used now.

I will see what I have at the shop.....

Sportsman's Guide sells them 3 for $11.95.

I have a nickel bag. ($200)
It was given to me by a coin dealer friend.
It's really neat, and I'm proud to own it.

I can't say if the Mint's price would be worth it to you.
It is too high for me. I mean, it's just a piece of canvas with some ink on it. sad.gif
