what is the diferent between the p and the d when talk about usa coins?

how many mints exists in usa?

P is Philadelphia Mint
D is Denver Mint

Technically currently there are 4 working mints, Philly, Denver, San Francisco (Proof issues) and West Point (Proof/Commemorative/Silver American Eagles)

and when say sacawea what,s meaning this?

Sacagawea is minted in the Denver, Philly and San Francisco mints. If you had one with an "S" it would have been minted in San Francisco

"Sacajawea" or "Sac" is a one dollar coin with a color similar to gold, but it tarnishes pretty quickly. It's the second attempt at getting people to accept a small sized dollar coin, and it failed like the first attempt did.
