Canada: Our progressive brother to the North.

They use dollar coins and they teach evolution without opposition in their schools.
If people had to use 2 dollar coins down here their heads would probably explode, which might not be such a bad thing!

I guess our American cousins are not as fatalistic as the Canucks or us Brits. We accepted the £2 & £1 coins as well as that wierd 50p coin, all without a second thought! unsure.gif

Quick question:

How was it when the 50p came out in 1969? My understanding was that its large size made it rather unpopular with people who had been used to the old 10/- note.
