I've never cracked a slab. I have taken some US Mint coins out of those little plastic cases they ship them in but only when they're being converted to pocket pieces.

what's that, right of the "T" in CENT, at the reverse?

Looks like some sort of contact mark, it was there pre-crack. bwink.gif No I didn't mess it up.

I know, it's visible pre-crack too, I just wondered...

And still MS-67.....

No I never open them I leave them be. . .

Only thing I open are the damaged 2x2's. Had to do a few of those last night. One was even taped shut with about 5ft of tape. YUCK.

If my PR69DCAM quarter's slab gets any worse I'll have to crack it out. Thing was scratched to hell when I bought it.
