I bought this medal (or coin?) in Russia but i can't find any information. Any clue? Does anyone recognize the monogram?

Is it silver and approx 28 -30 mm by any chance?

It's 33 mm. Any idea? At least did you recognize the monogram?

Sorry, but I don't recognize the mongram. It is similar to one used by Louis XVI of France, but the one on your piece has what appears to be two `L's interlaced and a `V' binding them. I can't think who that could possibly be, at least not within the time frame of the item.

The latin legend certainly does not suggest itself to being Russian.

Someone finally id the monogram ...it's the monogram of queen of sweden Louise Ulrica(1751-1771). Now i need to find out the meaning of this medal.

An italian found the solution. This medal should be connected with the order of Louise Ulrika; the motto of this order was MOTIS IMMOBILIS. The only thing that i still don't know is the reason of this emission.
