Trying to get creative here without making it too difficult.

As a kid, I purchased my first 45s in 1980. However, 3 of them were actually released in 1979, yet were top-40 hits in 1980.

Your job is to guess what they were. Everyone gets 3 guesses. After I reply everyone gets a new set of 3 guesses. The first person to guess 2 of the songs wins a group of circulated Russian/Soviet coins.

Whoever gets the 3rd song will win a 2005 commemorative Belgian €2.

Here is a link I found that should help.

People are suggesting that Harri bought Pink Floyd music in 45s records! Heresy! Burn the witches!!!

laugh.gif

Now seriously (kind of...), his ABBA phase would be over in 1980, or at least his mom doesn't call him "my little benny" anymore at that time, so my guesses are:

- De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da - The Police
- Dreamer - Supertramp
- Fame - Irene Cara

Jose cool.gif

No one has guessed either of the other two yet. So everyone has new guesses, however now since there are only 2 songs left, everyone now gets 2 guesses instead of 3.

Good luck!!

Sir, did I make a wrong turn and end up in the Confused Thread? Must remember that Kats are easily confused.

1. Are you looking for the name of a single or an album the single was on?

2. Was the release date of the single or album in 1979 or 1980?

Respectfully submitted by your humble admirer, Kat

1. Name of the single.

2. The release date was 1979 but it was on the top-40 list in 1980.

Please do not admire me, just simply adore me.

Sorry Kat, to be fair and consistant I must disqualify this entry as you already guessed twice since my last post.

You are free to enter it again if you wish as I am now allowing 2 new guesses for everone.

(btw: I am not too offended, I like that Donna Summer song.)
