I have a coin I cannot identify. It has the inscription JOANNES.V1.D.G.PORT.BR.ET ALG.R 1821 on the head side, and UTILITATI PUBLIC on the reverse, and then what looks like an A and E joined together followed by the number 40. I am sorry I can not post a photo but my scanners on the blink The coin itself is bronze or brass, 35mm in diameter and very heavy. I assume JOANNES V1 is the monarch but king or queen I dont know. I would be gratefull for any help I get.

Good shout Brett. Once I knew the country I could look for it on other sites. Thanks, Chris.
