Dear all,

after reading the wonderful forum I have purchased Uzdenikov - great source for pre-1917 Russian coins. What would be your reccomendation on book for Soviet coins (1921-1991). Fedorin (Федорин)?
And what is a good source (delivery to USA) to buy? I am looking at Ebay seller valeriyavaleriya71.

(I do read Russian)

thank you all

I would recommend Rylov/Sobolin and/or Adrianov. Both cover Soviet issues, but Adrianov is most likely more up-to-date on those (the former was published in 1993; Adrianov in 2001).

I have seen one of Fedorin editions, and I recently bought the book by Adrianov. I haven’t really gotten around to using it yet, but Adrianov’s seems fairly user friendly. Lots of pictures, close ups, errors pointing to whatever… But as I recall so does Fedorin.

You might want to ask the member of this forum Rarenum about the purchase.

I got mine from the author. I spelled out the details in this thread:
