Hi,

I am after a genuine mohur. Any ideas where to get one?

Are you after one of the British East India Co, or one of the INS examples? Try www.baldwins.sh, they are a British company and they have approximately 140+ examples in their inventory at the moment.

Checked out Baldwins and found a nice 1740 Swiss (Basel) 1/4 Taler completely different than the one I own.

The reverse is the same, but the obverse...different dragon, bigger shield.

Learned something new today. Sorry to take this thread off topic...

I like both dragons.

The problem is I got such a good deal on the coin on the left (NGC graded it MS62, though I swear the city view on the reverse is MS64) that the coin on the right is WAY overpriced in my opinion, unless it's a rare variety, which may be the case. I still want it, I just wish it were either cheaper or in better condition.

It doesn't help that the British Pound is as strong as the Euro while the dollar is.....depressing. mad.gif
