Well found this US 1949d Wheat head penny on the floor of the mall today

it's a bit banged up but overall still a nice coin

It's got some dings and scratches that aren't easy to photograph

On the cheek it's scratched badly and on the front it's got some gouges

But still a nice coin to find laying on the floor

I'd like to make the note that the title of the thread has 1943 as the date, not 1949. When I saw the coin was copper and I thoughtmthe date was 1943, that was not good for my health.

I found a 1941 penny on last election day.

It was laying in a driveway.

I was walking to the polling place where I was working as a clerk.

So that's where I dropped that.
